Gray Viking Pants with Side Panel

  • by

Jake needed another pair of viking pants in a different color. Lucky for him, our bed sheets decided to rip in the washing machine, and I wasn’t going to let all of that good cotton go to waste. So here he is in his new pair of giant pants featuring an elastic waist band, tapered ankle, pockets, and decorative side panel.

I patterned these pants myself, not without some difficulty. Making men’s clothing is still relatively new to me, so my intuition on sizing isn’t fully developed yet. Adjustments were needed after the initial fitting but I eventually got it right. You can see how comfortable and practical these pants are thanks to this gallery of action shots.

I had to make the pockets twice because Jake felt they were not big enough the first time. Now, they hold all of his things and he is ready for the fair! Our next faire will be King Richard’s in Carver, MA, and two weeks after that we plan to finally attend the New York Renaissance Faire.

Pretty simple! Thank you for reading.
