Wrapping Things Up in Hartford

Today is my last day in Hartford for the limited residency MFA program at the University of Hartford. For the past two weeks I have been working as assistant administrator for the program, doing paperwork, maintaining the facilities, directing students, and assisting in other administrative duties.

During my time here I have met a whole bunch of really talented working professionals and emerging illustrators. I have also picked up tons of new tips and tricks which I am excited to implement into the managing and promotion of my small business when I get home. Not to mention all of the things I learned about painting!

I worked under Carol and Murray Tinkleman, who head the program and are highly regarded in the field. Both of them were a joy to work with, and I look forward to staying in touch and working with them more in the future.

It was nice to be back on campus and see the faculty again, but it was strange not seeing my former classmates in the halls, studios, and courtyards.

Next, I am headed to the mountains for the weekend for a bit of summer adventure. Then it is back to my studio in Mass to get ready for the open house in August (more info soon to come), upload pictures from Connecticon, redesign part of my website, order some frames, paint, make leather things, and update my resume. You know, the usual.
