I’m trying to decide what color to paint the front door. It’s a beige house with white trim and black porch fixtures. I’ve quickly photo-shopped my ideas onto the house, but because the porch is in shadow, it’s not an easy thing to picture.
Black
Powder blue
Teal
Rusty orange
I know that black would look good; I’ve seen it before on my color house and I do really like it. Black was my initial favorite, but now I’m thinking maybe it’s too safe and too dark. Red would also look good, but everyone has a red door and I want something more exciting! Pinterest has been helpful, and I think the current front-runner is this rusty orange, mostly because Jake wants orange everything all the time. Is it too seasonal? Too bold? Light colors concern me because the dog likes to try to open the door herself and gets it dirty. However black might show scratches which is worse. This is such a hard decision!
