By the time this publishes the big dance recital will have passed. A studio showcase in a fancy theatre, and my first public solo-performance.
I sewed myself a big belly-dance belt for the explicit purpose of taking up more space on the stage and highlighting some of the movements. It came out a little puffier than intended, but overall feedback has been positive.
A very simple draping and gathering of two long rectangles, secured to a sturdy trim, with tassels on top and a tie a the front. Simple, versatile, and very dramatic.
